The centenary Tour de France will start in Corsica. It is an interesting choice, since this island is the only region in France, the Tour de France has never done. The first three stages will take place on this island. There will be no prologue. The first phase will start in Porto-Vecchio and end in Bastia. The second starts in Bastia and Ajaccio are finished. The third goes from Ajaccio to Calvi. Given the uneven profile of Corsica, the first tours are already a lot of fireworks.
After three tours of the island bike circus will travel to the Mainland. Waiting in Nice again a difficult task for the drivers, namely a team time trial. The advent of the trip will be on the famous Promenade des Anglais.

Alberto Contador will be the big favorite for the Tour de France 2013. After a year of absence because of a doping suspension, he will return in the biggest bike race in the world. It will be very interesting to see him fight the winner of the 2012, Briton Bradley Wiggins, and his strong teammate Froome. Among the contenders for the podium should also be considered Luxembourger Andy Schleck. After a miserable season in 2012 he will be very motivated to take their revenge in the 2013 Tour. Similar feelings of revenge will definitely play in the Dutch Gesink, Mollema, Kruijswijk and Poels. These four Dutch was in the Tour of 2012 victims of cases. In the Tour in 2013, they must be considered capable, to play for the top ten score. Click here for more information about the main classification riders who will participate in the 2013 Tour.
