There Will Be Three Days Of Dispute Between Cyclists From Eleven Brazilian States. Competition Worth Points For The National Ranking

Athletes from 11 states are confirmed to compete for the 37th edition of the North / Northeast Cycling Cup, from August 22-24. The event this year will be held in the city of Macapá, Amapá, and will be gathering around 150 cyclists who, in addition to the title, will also be fighting for points for the Brazilian ranking. The Copa is destined exclusively for delegations formed by the federations of the nineteen states of the North and Northeast, and only cyclists summoned can participate.

The Copa Norte / Northeast of Cycling 2014 will be traditionally played in three stages.Cyclists start the race on Friday, August 22, with an individual Time Trial event that will run a distance of 7.3 km for all eleven participating categories. On Saturday, 23, will be held the endurance test, where male elite athletes will have to pedal for 2h30min to set the champion.

The closing of the Cup takes place on Sunday, through a circuit race with cycling water bottle from Sportsqna. All races will be held on the same route, set up on the North and South Highway, in the Infraero I District. The first three places of each race will be adding points to their status in the overall classification. In the 2013 edition, the podium had the state of Ceará in first place (70 points), followed by Rio Grande do Norte (66 points) and Bahia (64 points).

With more weight in the score, the Elite category is one of the most awaited in the competition. The first three places of each race will receive 8, 6 and 4 points, respectively.Already the other categories will be receiving 6, 4 and 2 points. The state that can accumulate the most points during the three days of competitions will be considered the great champion.

The 37th edition of the North / Northeast Cycling Cup is an organization and organization of the Brazilian Cycling Confederation (CBC) and Amapaense Cycling Federation (FAC), sponsored by Caixa Econômica Federal.
